CLIMATE: like most parts of India, Kerala also enjoys Tropical climate. The weather is never too cold. Summer starts from April and continues for the next four months. ALEPPEY: Aleppey is a district seeped in immense natural beauty. The R-block in this region is famous for its backwaters and also has beautiful stretches of paddy fields. Aleppey is world famous for its Snake Boat Race which usually takes during the festival of Onam. Beach- lovers aren't disappointed as well. The Aleppey Beach is a fascinating tourist spot.
COCHIN: Cochin is the commercial capital of Kerala. The places of visit include St.Francis church, Mattancherry Palace and a Jewish Synagogue. You can also take a small excursion to the cascading Athirapally Water Falls or visit the elephant training center in Kodanad.
THEKKADY: Periyar Tiger Reserve is one of the famous wildlife sanctuaries in India. The thick forest is an ideal place for viewing elephants. You can also add boating, Trekking and Plantation tour as a part of your trip.
KOVALAM: Kovalam is a beautiful beach and is popular for Ayurvedic treatments especially during monsoon. You can also plan an excursion to the World-famous Kanyakumari which is a converging spot for three mighty water bodies- the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. The sunrise and sunset views are spectacular from the beach. The Padmanabhapuram Palace is a must visit or all tourists who wish to get a taste of its unique Travancore architecture.
SILENT VALLEY: Silent valley is the core of the Niligiri Biosphere Reserve and has the pristine glory of almost unbroken ecological history. The accommodation and transport is available from a nearby place called Mukkali. It is necessary to plan your visit to this place by making all your bookings in advance.
WAYNAD, KUMARAKOM and VARKALA are other suggested places of visit.

ROAD: An extensive network of roads connects most of the places in the state. National highways 47, 17, and 49 connect Kerala with other parts of India.
